Discovering mindfulness in 1999 was a game-changer for me. I went from being constantly distracted and unproductive to being able to focus for extended periods. My productivity increased. My grades improved. And my stress started to melt away.

I saw leaders caught in survival mode, and witnessed the ways amygdala hijack and stress hormones cause tunnel vision and make it impossible to connect empathically with the people around them.

And I saw first-hand how time pressures and stress led to poor decision-making, even when the decisions were vital to the ongoing success of the organisation. Observing this, I became obsessed with discovering ways of maintaining my own mental clarity and decision-making abilities.

I come to you as a trusted mindfulness expert with over 20 years of experience working with some of the world’s largest companies - as well as individuals just like you. I used to be right where you are now. My mind went a million miles an hour - in a bazillion different directions at once. I knew I had the intelligence and talent to do well, but somehow just couldn’t focus on the right thing at the right time and so was barely scraping by. Not to mention the fact that my mind had this habit of getting caught in negative thinking, which made me anxious and depressed!

Then I discovered mindfulness and everything turned around. Being able to systematically train my mind meant I stopped getting caught in unproductive thought patterns. This in turn allowed me to stay focused for longer periods on the things that needed my attention. My performance improved and I started feeling happier and more in control. I also started feeling more present in each moment - better able to connect with those around me, and somehow just more alive. 

And perhaps most important of all, I learned to listen to myself and live a life of greater authenticity and integrity. Rather than blindly following the track I was on or doing what others seemed to expect of me, I started listening deeply to my own intuitive wisdom and living life in a way that was an expression of my core values. This has added a whole new dimension to my life, and is one of the most important discoveries I have ever made.
